Been useing one of these on and off this year ....... nice looking rod well fitted out with fuji eyes and decent reel seat . I use a multiplier with it but could be used with a fixed spool no problem . rod is 11ft 6inches long which is perfect for what its aimed at, pokey enough to lob 4oz but the tip is supple enough that when fishing really close in it allows bites to "happen" rather than being stiff and spooking the fish ;D used this rod at a few different venues and taken bass over 9lb on it and always felt in control ........very similar to the fox bass 2-4oz which cost me twice as much eyes same position , blank action wonder why ive doubled up and used this for fun fishing for smutts as well and its great , as a bass or light rod cant fault it really and for under 50 quid a good buy

I had an old hurricane for years and done me proud. Never heard any bad words about any of the salt rods or any of the salt range for that matter.

thought i would review this as its not a mega money rod , and was honestly impressed with the action and quality of fittings , may just help somebody decide or steer them right .....
ive got a bundle of bass rods, some expensive but this one is a beauty
it does the job and more, would also double as a nippers rod or a shelia ;D

My boy won the salt heavy uptider in a comp and if the bass rod is anything like that i cant fault it.

I had the salt long surf rod up until last month. I found it was a good quality rod. It had very good bite detection but i do alot of fishing off the back of the island so i needed a rod that was abit stiffer. Havent got a bad word to say about the salt range.
