I know this has been aired before but I couldn't locate any topics using the search facility.
I now have 2 lots of used flares that have been replaced that I'm looking to get rid (dispose) of. I dont want to fire them off or anything like that as the older ones are starting to look iffy. Do'es anyone know of any safe disposal places around portsmouth.
Rich.

Coastguard will usually take them. Some Chandlers will take old flares when you buy new (no good in your case, as you already have replacements).
I assume you mean "out of date", not "used".

Local police will also take them.

Local police will also take them. Some police stations refuse, as they don't have the necessary storage facility.

The Old Bill used to have those firearms amnestys... they accept anything with gunpowder in......wait until the next one and surrender your flares
