Hi, If this breaks any forum rules then please feel free to delete it. it is blatant marketing but equally it is most peoples first chance to see Ians new shelter and not listen to all of the hype I was asked to go out with Ian Golds and make a video for his new Igloo Beach Shelter. I done it as a favour for a mate but was pleasantly surprised when I saw it. Apparently the RRP is £99.99 and they should be in the shops in the next fortnight or so The one in the video is one of the prototypes but the finished ones will have some pegs attached so that they can be used on river banks, mud flats OR CASTING FIELDS In the new year the plan is to release add on parts for the shelter such as side screens (aimed mainly at the carp market) and rod rest attachments I really think that they are going to be HUGE when people see them www.youtube.com/watch?v=X53EyySq4qM If you were in any doubt of its wind bearing capability, have a look at this film and bear in mind that by this time the shelter was being held in place by bags of stones rather than digging the skirts in www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1j3zOXQOKE Also I forgot to mention that there will be some of the Shelters made in Black material and carrying the Zziplex Logo. those are sure to sell out FAST so get in quick if you fancy one

Ive only seen pics of them, they seem more a wind break than a full blown shelter.
For the same price as a john holden roughly,i know which i would buy, zziplex logo or not..
regards mike

I still can't work out if that bit was a joke or not Steve  But as the old saying goes, a fool and his money are soon parted

Hardly foolish Sorry should have been clearer, I know it's the same thing (and a good product too by the looks of it) but there's always a few doughnuts who reckon a badge on something makes it better, like these cars you see going round with what looks like a shopping list stuck under the wing mirrors

Did you watch the video? The shelter is bigger than a beach buddy when erected and you can sit really deep in it and still see your tips which for a big bugger like me, isn't possible with my beach buddy without getting a crooked neck and its £50 cheaper than the current Beach buddy

they look like good bits of kit!. but i've never had any trouble with my £50 waterline beach buddy in 6+ years of use and abuse on chesil beach. with exendable legs if i need them, strong very water proof material and loads of room for two plus gear. soon though it will need replacing and was thinking of a golds one till i found out my local tackle shop still do the waterline ones oh and why the zziplex logo? what a gimmick!

Seems a bit pricey to me, will have to stick with me Lidl's gear bought for £12 a couple of years ago.
