Hi olly - looking good! I'd have a rethink on the steering pin, it looks a bit flimsy and will probably fail with some load on it. I'd get a swivelling clevice for the engine in SS, and use a proper pin, something like 3/8 dia... The steering tube doesn't have to be horizontal but somewhere near... The offset the bolt gives you should be avoided I reckon... Just a thought mate...
Also olly, are you relying on the clamps to hold the engine in place? I noticed that the transom had a shallow taper, and is a gel finish...I'd recommend either bolting through the transom, or providing a positive location for the clamp pads ( something like my old boat Rockhopper has)

Olly, hope you don't mind me suggesting that your bow roller is in the wrong place m8 and also re- the connector from steering arm to engine, you can get a push fit one that will take up the distance between the arm and engine, which means when moored up,you disconnect it and it save your wheel and steering gear being thrashed about.
hope this helps and good luck as she looks a cracker.

the steering was just temp as i was waiting for my new engine witch has the arm thing fitted and the cable going through the engine transom so thats all good now
the reson iv put the bow roler that way is to stop the rope chaffin the fender when im pulling it in im waiting for a stainless plate to go on top as a rope buffer.ill post pics when iv done it

Hi Little tip for fitting the rubber fender, try warming it up ie barrel of hot water to start, the a hot air- gun as you pull it around. Would fill any gaps with bond and seal 1st.
