look i cannot speak for all digi scales but the fox digi scales are very accurate and unusually for scales they are accurate at weighing dace of just over an ounce to carp up to 6o lb .AVON SCALES ...are nearly always weighing two ounces out across the weight range and ruben heaton scales are fine over 10lb ...heres a thing a brand new set of avons were sent to five weights and measures stations acroos the country ...the scales were duly tested and five different results were given ...i have grown out of weighing fish since coming back to sea fishing ...as a coarse angler i was always interested in the numbers game ..is it an ounce bigger than my pb ...now i just want to enjoy the day out . i will agree with the fox scale's,seen them tested many times and always spot on,the down side is the price(£80)as for berkley,i have one of those odd ones where you have to look down from the top to read it,they can play up sometimes turning off and on or freezing but they generally are accurate when they work proper like

Yeah digi is the only way to go. Salter have a good name but i know of at least 2 of my mates salters being dodgy. I have some berkley ones. They have been accurate to the knuckle for over 5 years, survived at least one dunking and the battery has never shown the slightest sign of giving up the ghost (probably due to under use ) The problem with them is they weigh the decimal from one to nine. So 0.1 on them, is actually 1.6oz and 0.5 is actually 8oz, if you see what i mean. Stevies balance scales are always an option.
