Hi All Here are some photos of the new Igloo By Ian Golds. As stated in earlier posts it is very easy and quick to put it up and down. It has three pegs (of a plastic type material which I will be changing to metal) attached at each corner of the base. The Shingle/Sand flaps are quite large adding more stability when used (we did not use them ). There are more Tabs attached at various points which guy ropes (or Girl ones if you like) could be put on for extra security. The material seems very strong and does not need pre-treatment according to I.G. The hinges and poles are all aluminium and they are all attached using bolt and nylock nuts (Not easy to break Rivits). When rolled up there is even a carrying strap attached. It is about 7 Feet long when closed and fits easly into a rod bag. In my opinion it is a very well designed easy to use item. It may be more expensive than other brands but it is bigger and better built. Apparently there will be attachments produced (Doors ad-ons etc.) We used these two on saturday afternoon and fished to sunday afternoon and they worth their weight in ......Gold. Ps. Ady does not come with the Igloo but can be hired out per night.

We got them from Rovers in Fareham. Ask for Mark V and they have all four colours. Assuming they have not sold out.

Used my Igloo for the first time last weekend and i have to say, it is absolutely brilliant. Stacks more room than the ron thompson and literally seconds to put up. Thanks go to forum member flatfish for supplying it to me also ;D

I spoke to a fella about his one down at Dungee last weekend and he was telling me his mrs makes kites for international kite teams from materials very similar to his Igloo.....that said she is gonna try and fabricate a door design to fit each front side of the Igloo ....he has invited me too check out her handywork once completed and IF Ian Golds firm have not come up with their own option I will pay me mates mrs to fit some doors to the one im getting in feb.
watch this space.....if and when it happens I will try and get some piccies done and the costs involved.

It takes a couple of big lads and a rivet gun to attach that door, all finished off with a nice bit of welding. ;D

Thats all very well, but the delivery costs and fuel expenditure of getting the mutha set up on chale beach by a local boat crew and removed same has its pitfalls...!!!!!
