After having a good shake and external examination of the few presents that I brought away with me I decided that none of them were fishing rod shaped, and I always have a new rod for crimbo. As Ive just spent a small fortune on my beach casters I had a moment of madness and bought a Zziplex islander boat rod. From what I understand they are an HSM tip section that is converted to become a 20-30lb class boat rod. Any one had a play with one? Hopefully it will do what it says on the tin as it cost almost as much as a complete HSM! At the moment there are only 8 blanks available and 5 have already gone one of them being mine. Has any one else managed to snag one of them? Or had a go with one?

Rob
I had the pleasure of using one for a session recently, I gave it a quick appraisal, and took a few shots... Take a look in the boat report section, I think it was december 10th...
You won't be disappointed!
