Welcome to Beach_and_Boat forum
All new members are expected to introduce themselves in the `Introductions` section upon joining. It is a matter of courtesy that you let the forum know where you are from, who you are and what fishing experience you have. A good introduction does you lots of credit in the eyes of the guys-n-gals; and usually gets a warm reception.
We expect that it will take new members time to work through the Threads and find their feet; and thus don’t expect to see lots of posts from you. But all members please note that failure to post within a reasonable period, or a sustained spell of inactivity (if you have been logging in and not posting) will result in your account being deleted. Please keep your account alive as all members are valued. If due to work commitments or other difficulties you think that you will not be able to post then please advise Admin Staff, to save any unnecessary deletion of your account.
Also, if any posts are purposely annoying, threatening or bullying in nature, you will be banned without consultation; as Beach_and_Boat has a zero tolerance to negative feelings on the site. We actively promote respect and tolerance of others opinions and will not accept an attitude that seeks to go against that rule. As an example, fishing politics and criticizing another member for keeping his catch will not be tolerated
Beach_and_Boat has members who include wives & girlfriends, as well as young anglers. Therefore we ask that you do not post obscene language – it is unnecessary !
Posting the word with characters embedded that get around the Profanity Filter is not acceptable.
The forum actively encourages young anglers to join and contribute to the forum; it is great place to learn from experienced anglers, who feel rewarded from passing on their skills to the next generation. We want to share and listen to your angling adventures and experience; but we ask that you respect the fact that the vast majority of members are older and mature. We therefore remind you that posting meaningless drivel and chatter can be irritating and lose you the respect of the oldies. If you feel the need to talk nonsense then go and do it on Facebook or Twitter. You will only receive one warning if this happens.
From time-to-time there will be posts/threads that contain deliberate or accidental hooks We ask that you do not respond to these, but advise the Admin Staff, who can deal with them. Members do not have the right to retaliate or post confrontational responses; this does not help and usually enflames the situation.
One member – one account. The practice of 2 or more accounts will not be tolerated and could result in all accounts being banned; without consultation.
This is great forum for making new pals, learning and sharing your fishing adventures…so happy posting
