hi peeps iv got a 2 way switch for my batteries that needs wireing up to both batteries.is there any of you on the island who could pop over and show me the best way to put it or even fit it for me? i also need to no how to check to see if the engine charging system is working (witch i have no reson to think its not working i just want it checking) i think iv got all the bits i need and iv got the propper crimpers and so on the switch im talking about is this www.electricboatparts.com.au/persistent/catalogue_images/categories/150100.jpgit came wired when i got the boat but it was a bodge job so i took it out i have no diagram for it olly

The back of the switch will have 3 brass connections, marked 1. 2 and COM. The positive from battery 1 goes to terminal 1 The positive from battery 2 goes to terminal 2 The COM terminal is the positive out Connect all the negatives together Attachments:

i take it i run two extra wires from 1 battery to run the lights and fishfinder and so on and the other battery to start then engine?

do you not have a switchboard olly? If not then run your fishfinder lights ect from the COM terminal, you then use the switch to choose which battery you run them off

Then in that case run a positive wire from the COM terminal to your switchboard
