Hi Guys, i have 2 of these rods and the top rods ring on each of them has broken. The inserts have come out of the rings.
Does any know if these can be repaired? or any one in the pompey area to could repair these for me?
I will be in the popmey area on 30th April - out on sea juicer.
Regards Mike

Either you could Araldite the inner ring back in place - or take the tip to a tackle shop and get a new top ring, (has to be just the right size) - and simply Araldite the new ones on.
Not taking the mick mate - just seems like fairly short simple fix that's not worth taking in to a repair shop to have done.
I've done this myself to a tip ring - easy peasy and works just fine.

take to your local shop get them to put new top ring on prob only charge a couple of quid for eye or warm it gently with a lighter give a straight pull and of it comes get a new ring and glue back on with some hot melt glue better than araldite easier to change if breaks again

Thanks for your tips guys.
It is not the tip that has broken but the first ring down from the top. The ring housing is intact and the outer clip is in place on both rods. What is missing is the line guide inserts. I was hoping to be able to find a fladen dealership who might be able to help match up the missing parts.

Got my last replacement ring from an ebayer in Wales and it's holding up so far (6 months), put it on with hot melt glue as the man said. Can't recall his name now but a quick search on ebay should find him.
