Managed to get out today on the briney, and it was beautiful, like glass. Some lure fishing for bass was in order. Started slow, and thought if i can just winkle out one fish, espescially as things are so slow at the moment, I would be more than happy. So paddled to a little spot I know where the small surf was breaking over some shallow reef, and bang im in, boy did she run, pulled the yak out into deeper water which was handy. A fish of aroung four and a half five pounds, not bad I thought, happy with that.
As afternoon progressed managed to yak another four fish, ranging from three to four pounds.
A good afternoon which more than compensates for the recent blanks. The weather was beautiful, the water was lovely, and the fishing was top drawer.
Hope this report has given all you fellow yakkers some heart and encouragement in view of how lean it has been recently. It looks as if things are improving , at LAST !
