Any good for lure fishing?
Went plugging down Bembridge yesterday morning and stopped off at Whitecliff Bay on the way back. If you bear left and head for the rocks it looks "fishy" with lovely clear water. Perhaps too clear for lures.
Anyway, I didnt see one bird, no baitfish or any signs of any any commercial buoys. So I am guessing it's not the best place to chuck a lure?
IF it is, what state of tide is best? Maybe on the flood because there are some lovely gutters there for the fish to work?

Really? Nice one, Deckchair. I couldn't see many structures or kelp beds so just assumed (wrongly it turns out) that it wouldn't be any good for plugging but might be ok on bait an hour or so before high.
Do you know if the holiday camp stays open all through the night? what I mean is, if I turn up at 5am will the gates be locked so I have to walk all the way through the camp?
Thanks deckchair farmer.

I tend to look for fresh water run-offs into the sea. These attract pelagic and semi-pelagic predators.
They come into the brackish mixture of fresh and sea water to get rid of sea lice.

Cheers mate, really appreciate the advice.
Sorry, but Culver? Is that to the right of the beach as you walk down the slope?
