I'm looking for a small open boat for inshore fishing that I will store next to the water but can self-launch and recover with a launching trailer by hand. I'm thinking of something in the 12ft size that can be used with a light 15hp outboard. As this will be left by the water it needs to be tough (so no ribs) but light. Any suggestions?

You may not be interested but my mate and I bought a 14 ft Portabote three years ago. They are made of 1/4 inch thick polypropylene so pretty tough and they fold up so just stick on top of car and take home. We actually run it with a 6 hp 4 stroke which of course is dead quiet for creeping up on fishy spots - gives around 13 knots flat out and goes all day on two or three litres. Not for use in any more than force 4 or mid channel wrecking but ideal for pottering around harbours, etc. We have actually taken it up to three miles off shore on good days but I wouldn't go much further.
