Hi, im getting a kayak at the end of the month, its a tek sport fisher. they any good???  ifso any up for a fishing trip anywhere on island, bare in mind im not a pro, just a begginner in this. |

I'm sure it will be 100% fun whichever model you get. I just wish that I wasn't so lazy.... engines beat paddling for me  Still I love reading about the adventures you guys have......so good luck with the yak. |

hi dyer, its mark, james's bro ;D i've just got myself a prowler 13 not been out on it yet but itching to have a go, can't get it about at the mo, its to big for the van so need a roof rack, i'll be up for a trip out

OIOI, il be getting a roof rack for mine so can put yours on to. been getting a few tips from people for where to go, so when we do go out should be good laugh. il let you know when i get mine.

what sort of gear do i need for kayak fishing then? all i have is beach gear, got a 3 piece bass rod, will that do? then just normal rig or do you use a certain one??? dont wana meet up with you boys and turn up with all the wrong gear and look a tit. |

hello dyer , give us a pm when you have the your yak and will go out . as for equipment try www.anglersafloat.co.uk/index.htmlYou should find lots of tips for rigging your yak on there as far as fishing i use a 8 foot lightweight spinning rod with a cheap multipler and a 20lb 6 foot boat rod again with a cheap multipler . |

dyer, i went out for my first trip sunday, first lesson learnt  tie oyur rods on lol took nippers spinning rod, but with my reel, lost the thing overboard, looked like it was fish on then bye bye lol got afew big mackerel first time out, and on a light spinning rod was fun mark |
