i got a ABU SUVERAN EVO 822 BOAT. 20lb, 8' 2" while in alderney last week from mark at alderney angling.
what a lovley rod
very light on the tip and a great for bite detection, with plenty of power lower down in the rod.
defo recomended to anyone

ive been thinking of a pair of those ...what price did you pay ...recommended retail is just a bit steep at 183

ive bought the 20lb and a 30lb. lovely rods. pleased with mine. spottydog tackle have got them for around £140.

well read some good reviews and liked the predecessors so, alderney angling are winging me a pair of the thirtys ..Had a good chat with mark who convinced me that it was the thirtys i would be happy with as i already have 12 -20 from original series ...he actually expressed that he was horrified that the suveran series had grown in length when he first saw them at a trade show .But now feed back from his customers and personal experience has changed his mind ...i will of coarse decide for myself but cant wait to get my hands on some some new sticks .....

i have the 10 foot pro uptide 6-10 oz version of the suveran with the telescopic butt that pulls in or out. its a fantastic rod but i am keen to change it for the 30lb boat version.

I also have these rods 12 20/30 and 50 and can say they are superb if you can match the 12lb and the 20/30 with tekota 600 reels they are silky smooth and you feel every tiny bite.
