can any of you help i have a garmin gpsmap 2006c its not picking up a satalite signal.if any on on the island has a similar setup so i can try my unit on your suply that would be cool the reciver is a garmin gps17 n the unit fires up fine apart from no signal. i might be wireing up wrong but the diagram from the website says its right so any help at all would be fantastic heres the diagram on page 8 www8.garmin.com/manuals/47_2006_2010_GPS17Installation.pdfolly

You could try Garmin Telephone Support Olly... they are very good.
Biggest problem I found was the connections of the data cables - not helped by the fact that they are so bloomin fine. I gave up on connectors in the end and soldered all my data cable connections

had a chat with them and its the antenna thats buggerd so ill have to get a new 1 thanx for your help sunny olly

had a chat with them and its the antenna thats buggerd so ill have to get a new 1 thanx for your help sunny olly Shame that you need a new bit...but well done to Garmin Support; saved you a load of fruitless diagnostics Fl-eBay...gotta be a spare Garmin GPS antenna being flogged - a few guys have two plotters and don't need the spare GPS antenna
