Ken is correct sushi is rice and has nothing to do with raw fish ...nori rolls contain sushi rice and usually cooked fish prawns wasabe paste spring onions etc etc ..if they had raw fish in them they would become sushimi nori rolls ...so there you have it sushi is rice which can be wrapped up in seaweed or californian style have the seaweed wrapped inside ...you got to be careful with kens wife...... i was having a conversation with her one day about peppers ...she disapeared into the kitchen and reappeared with a bowl which contained rice and some sort of red something ...she passed me it and gave me some chopsticks ..i explained i would need a fork ...up to this point because of our conversation about peppers i thought the red something was indeed peppers .no the food now in my mouth was coloured raw squid ...i cant tell you just how awful it was .please do not try this at home ....i laugh about it now but my god .anyway folks Simon very english ate a sole fillet raw ..he was drunk and hungry and thought he had better not use the cooker ..reckons it was good ..ill be taking his word for that as well .
