went out on sunday pm, cold but smooth sea. started a bit slow, but as tide increased and light faded things improved. Had a huge pout, and eight whiting, with five keepers, one being two and quarter pounds. Could have had more, with a bite every drop in the dark, but knot came undone from buoy i was tied up to, and a bit dangerous to find and re tie to bouy in tide and dark.
still, had quite a good sesh. No photos this time, only had phone camera, with no flash. ;D
call sign is... malibu 1, on radio. when out on water maybe an exchange of call ups for fish reports or hazards.

Certainly smoothed off on Sunday evening. Sounds like a productive session  Gotta be some Cod on the cards; hope the weather is good to you (and me  ) this coming weekend ? |

Wow! two and a quarter pound is a decent size.Well done for getting out when many won't  Just a tip if I may I use a rope with a caribener at one end and fix the caribener to my anchor trolley,loop the rope over the pot bouy and the other end attached to the cleat that I normally use for securing my anchor warp.This way when I need to detach myself I just let the rope go out of the cleat and I'm away. |
