another south wight sesh

:-*went out today for another south wight sesh.

conditions good.

Tied up to a bouy which was just where i wanted to be, saved anchoring, which was handy, as i knew i would have to pull anchor in dark. Dont like that if i can help it. Anyway first drop, two minutes and bang bang bang, on lighter rod set for whiting. picked up rod strike, reel up and a lovely whiting two and a half pounds. yummy. a few daddy pout. nice when fresh. some smaller whiting. then again bang bang bang, this time a p.b three pound whiting. even yummier. a few one and a half to two poundewrs quickly follow. Then classic nod nod on other rod, which is set up with a wishbone rig and two huge squid. Strike and shes on. Not huge, but welcome nonetheless, a 6,7 pound cod. So yummy. A couple more small whiting by which time pitch black. Released from buoy and enjoyed the paddle back in the dark with lights ablaze. Well pleased i be for a four hour short sesh. Tight lines fellow yakkers,.

Not bad at all for a 4 hr sesh! Sometimes wish that I lived closer to south IOW with catches like that.
