Hi all.
Another new member on board!
I'm a sea fisherman from Lymington, I have a 19ft shetland and i use it all year round to fish the solent shingles and needles area's for bass,bream,cod,pollack,stingray,smoothound,skate, wrasse,flounder, tope and what ever else i can get my hands on!
I look forward to sharing my own reports with everyone and picking up a few pointers on the way.

there are 11 codfathers?! ok not a problem.
fishing was slow, we had 1 small thornback and 3 dogs between the 3 of us. fished the spoil ground 2 miles behind the needles. the problem is the influx of sprats, even the doggies had half eaten sprats in their mouth. the fish are just too full up to eat our juicy squid and cuttle.

Welcome Aaron, we had whiting coughing up complete sprats on our last session, they must be stuffing themselves with them.

yeah its a bit of a pain. i think there was about 25 boats scattered around out there and we only heard of one cod caught.
never mind, i will keep at it! good luck all....
