The smooth flat briney beckoned satuday afternoon and i had some time for a exploratary bream trip. Mashed up old mackerel and squid night before, stuffed big cage feeder with pulp, and wacked it in the freezer ready for next day.. A little tip, i always mash up my ground bait for bream, put in a foot long five inch diameter cage feeder i made , and then freeze it. This way when you lower ground bait to anchor, ground bait slow releases as its frozen, rather than all at once. anyway got out onto the water, and it was beautiful, idilic. Paddled around for about an hour or so trying to find the right mark, and got it, i was anchored up just where i wanted to be, which doesnt happen every time. Drop down the rod rigged for bream, twenty minutes and a beatiful big bream bite, strike, and its on. a beatiful fish with the blues and irredescent colours blazing in the sun. Fished for about four hours and had another four, but lost one that wriggled off just as i got it to the side of the yak. Still very happy with four good bream to take home. Theyre out there. Tight lines yakkers. <a href="http://s1017.photobucket.com/albums/af293/hicki/?action=view¤t
