Met up with Mike (Fearless) today for a few hours testing our new sails. Considering Hayling is one of the most popular windsurfing places I thought we would stand a good chance of having a good gust or two. No chance, I could fart more Anyway, here are a few pics of the few hours we spent out there, with the sun burning through cloud quickly, making a really enjoyable morning Sail down. Sail up Mikes new sail s986.photobucket.com/albums/ae348/chris329a/?action=view¤t=1104180015.mp4Tried it out in all angles and works brilliantly with the wind behind, and as Yakdiver said, it helps a bit going up to about 30 degrees into the wind, albeit about 0.7mph at an estimate. It would benefit from a leeboard as the front does sometimes get blown across with the wind and you need some corrective strokes, but this is to be expected. All in all I love it - especially as you just keep paddling and it will swing around with the wind and can paddle into the wind without putting it down, something that the Pacific Action can't do. At one point I was going round Mike literally in circles and trimming it a bit, with the sail up all the time. Oh and it matches my Yak, which is good for safety when I cross the shipping lanes, they SHOULD be able to see me better!
