Well......TOOK ME TWO HOURS TO GET HOME!!!! Bloody holiday traffic in the New Forest!
Anyway.....what a day. We knew when we set off it was going to be "interesting", and when we realised that we nearly couldn't actually steer in certain directions because of the wind that we had to plan it carefully. Oh, that and the fact that I nearly fell off in the first 5 minutes because of the gusts ;D
I checked the live time readings of the weather and it said that it was a steady 28 knotts
After getting beached sorting my stuff out, the scupper in the tankwell got blocked with stinking sludge. Nice. Managed to tie onto a yacht (THEY DO HAVE THEIR USES AFTERALL!!! ;D ;D )
After catching crabs (either type are a pain ) I managed to winkle out a small schoolie, and as Glyn said, his 100% guarantee was intact.
Here's a few pics.
Glyn with (what I imagine is....) his tired cumface on....
My passenger Colin, keeping me company! Love the livewell!
One of Glyn's bass
This sums up the day!
Oh and here are a few videos....
Imagine what it was like at the trap if it was like this in the sheltered harbour!?
After realising that we were on the edge of our limits and the tide would be ebbing soon, we decided to go back. On the way back i went through a patch of weed and came to a stop. I tried paddling and it was like porridge. I practically wet myself laughing trying to get out, which I managed to do in the end but was absolutely cream crackered.
We might be mad, but we ain't stoopid, and looking at the weather now we made the right decision to go home when we did, or I'd still be there! ;D
Thanks for a good laugh as usual Glyn, but next time I ain't going on a bank holiday!
