Meet up with a couple of guys from AA, Mike (Fearless), James and Stevo at Elmore car park at 10:30 yesterday morning. Forecast didn't look too bad although it was going to get windy later in the afternoon. We hit the water and found a little lumpier than anticipated, but still felt ok with company.......ok slightly scary at times but thought I was being a wimp compared to the more experienced guys ;D I got a head start in my tug (Malibu XL, normally fish 2 up!) Sorry the photos are the best, I only have the phone but I think one shows the conditions It was an excellent trip and one of many firsts for me, meeting up with others, conditions at my limit, and most importantly actaully caught some fish ;D I followed Mike to his chosen mark, think he picked the best spot for species, I anchored over a kennel, but still good fun. 16 of these babies Also had 2 of these, want to catch a bigger one now Baits used; ragworm, squid and macky It was a great day with great company, thanks for inviting me along The other guys also had a great day with good Smutts, thornback, bream and doggies showing plenty of species at the mark. We decided to call it a day at 3:00, wind was getting strong. I normally fish with my son, giving me a second engine. In that wind Gusting 22knt, I struggle to get my tug back against the wind and tide, Had to walk the last bit ;D ;D At least I now know why I take my son Looking forward to the next trip.
