Have a look here: www.cheshirefishingtackle.co.uk/leedaquicksilverspin10ft/prod_103.htmlI've had one of these for about 3 years now and it is a fantastic spinning rod and ideal for saltwater use. Mine is in need of a new eye now so I just ordered another from the link above. Rod including post and packaging for £35, trust me you won't find a better deal or rod for that price anywhere. Leeda discontinued them 2 years ago and this site has the last 5 (4 now!) I could find. They also have some shorter versions available which are cheaper, however I do agree with Mr Gilbey and think the extra couple of feet helps for beach spinning. I also find it's action make it a great mullet rod and also use it for float fishing and light bait work in the estuary for flatties and bass.

Quite the debate has kicked up! Nice to see some different sides of opinions but I think Drew has got that well put with the fact that like everything else in the world, modern demand has changed. As such, technology has moved on offering different and more precise tools... Drew, I'll come into see you with a pocket full of trust and a blank cheque....

Make sure the rod is rated to the lower end of the scale (10g upwards) as most plastic lures tend to be 15 to 20g and higher rated rods simply don't bend enough to get any "whip". I'm sure Drew will sort you out with some appropriate gear. Can't recommend using braid enough either, it's "garlic bread".
