I've decided to change tactics and start to focus on lure fishing instead of beach casting, so here is my gear up for sale to raise some funds for a decent spinning rod and reel...
first up is a nice pair of Penn 525 Mags, These are in perfect working order, were serviced early this year and had new spool bearings fitted. I have also added extra magnets inside the slidy as I found them to be a bit too quick for me, these can easily be removed if wanted as they are just piggybacked on the existing magnets and not glued. They do show some signs of use with the odd cosmetic mark and the mag writing on the side is faded but this is all normal wear... SOLD!
Here is my Shakespeare Salt Beach MX Beachcaster which is also a 2 piece with extension bar. It measures 13' / 390cm in length and also casts 4 - 8 oz / 113g - 227g. When I bought this I ditched the rubbish reel clamps it came with and upgraded to a Penn Talon for £25, which really holds the reel firm and aids casting with it's trigger. The original bag is also included. This rod has had little use and is in good condition. It was excellent value for money when I bought it and very compareable to the more expensive ABU... £40 + £8 if you want it posted REDUCED!
I think those are some fair prices there so not really interested in offers but might be able to do something if you want more than one item.
