anybody here fished chesil... if so i am doing my first stint on Friday nite... anybody got any tackle, bait, rig tips etc?

Nevermind the apathy..

3 of us ended up at the Dragons teeth Fridaiy pm til 00.30ish, 1 cod just over 10lb was caught by Alan, he lost another around the same size due to hook pulling out on the beach and the next wave reclaming it... , Dave lost something decent, i had the obligatory whiting n pout.

Also there were, more whiting, pout, poor cod and LSD`s all in all a good evening.

Most others we spoke to along the beach had rockling, whiting, pout, poor cod and LSD

well done mark. as you have seen chesil is still showing the goods. sounds like you had a good night as well . 3 of us hit langdon . chesil same night from afternoon to 8am next day. had no end of wtin/ pouts and few dogs. mate lost a plump cod on the bank and 1 small conger. All ended up with a cod each to bring home . 4lb / 7lb6oz and a 9 lb . good night though. looking for-would to the next one . hoping to do chesil one evening and over night then head up to lilstock on the reefs over low then back to the pipe over high. something about fishing chesil that gives you a buzz no matter how the weather is . plenty of worm and crab with big hooks and most of the time you cant go wrong. but saying that quite a few cod have come out this season on big squid baits. might bump in to you one day down there. cheers

clive sort a date out for a friday or saturday in two weeks or so and do chesil . its a long walk to the teeth and beyond
