I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday who has been working on his boat which is moored down the River mouth end of the Medina and he told me he had seen the classic "Grubbing"marks that Mullet leave in the mud ?
Any thoughts Mullet Hunters........well,David and Nick anyway ;D

I've seen them in February elsewhere (South Wales - and well before warmer winters became the norm). When I told friends about that one very clear sighting I was firmly told I was must have been hallucinating after the long boat trip we'd just been on. On another occasion in a creek off Portsmouth Harbour I saw some very characteristic-looking multiple trails on the surface on a calm, sunny morning after a hard frost. It was too far out of range to investigate further, though.
I'd be pretty sure - but have no hard evidence to back it up - that there will be some fish around this time of year if the water temp inshore stays up and the weather's on an even keel , but my main questions are whether they'll still be feeding, if so - where, and last but not least - on what.
I haven't been out looking lately, but a friend who does hasn't seen or heard of anything lately apart from the odd second-hand tale.
