with nearly every minute of my life at the moment the dirty heap is starting to get to a stage where i feel like the is progress . before now tomorrow the shaft, cutless and rudder go back in and connect, then this weekend il be putting on gel shield and anti-foul. then next week il have all the engine parts (it feels like iv been waiting forever) so i can put heat exchangers and intercooler back on. only little surprises i found long the way were, a corroded prop shaft, live bait tank scoop leaking and gearbox cooler needed re-soldering. not to bad really. with all that, weekend after next i should be in the drink and heading out to play. only a week later than planned.....lol....... just want it in the water soon as but no point in rushing it ....................its not easter yet....lol

cheers lads its took 20 hours of graft to get it from the dull ,filthy heap i started with to this. but il go round it once more and then wax it. fingers crossed it will look like new. its a jump iv been working for along time, with all the ebay, doing up engines and dingeys , plus the odd boat jumble. then start of the year i finally sold the shetland........was sad to see it go. its now in denmark blasting around the lakes. tonight i managed to get a coat of gel shield on and I'm going in early tomorrow as well for another, then final one in arvo. that then gives me the weekend to anti foul, do patches and put engine back together. aiming for mid week launch

just before the launch and first trip out she went ok but i had some vibration and was down on speed at around 16kn, so last weekend i whipped it out the water and popped the prop off and had it rebalanced . back in on wednesday night and now i have 19-20kn and cruising at 15kn, perfect after this patch of bad weather passes il have to go and do some serous fishing...lol cheers john
