hi do a lot of shore fishing just been to bristol channel and blanked so looking for some hints on where to fish hear about cod on the south coast never had one not sure were to fish any advise would be good

Hi Ian, welcome to the forum, I'm from Kent, regarding places to fish on the south coast, the Kent coast has been very poor over the last few months, but it seems that its just starting to pick up with reports of codling starting to show all around now.Although you said you'v just fished the Bristol channel, is that were you are from?

hi thanks no i am from the Portsmouth area read in the sea angler about battery point and gave it a try i think i will give cleavdon a try next time lost a lot of gear and not even a bite then thats fishing

Plenty on here from your area who will be glad to help mate. Maybe try asking some info on the shore fishing section and you should be well informed.
