Well like the rest of us I am wearing a set of incontinent pants as I pissing myself with the expectation of the Olympic games starting soon.
Stadiums built by Poles,(who have now stayed here and swamped the construction industry with cheap labour; over priced contracts given to the right firms , some of who cant even count how many staff they need ,allegedly)
Paid for by us mugs.
And what is it?
A lot of minority sports!
The pole vault, the 100 meters, Greeko Wrestling, Archery, Table Tennis .
How many pole vaulters do you know? Can you name one?
Do they have 'Extreme Pole Volting' on sky, where they leap over high voltage electric cables?
No.
The list goes on.
So why not Fishing? Lots of fishing programs on the telly.
Not a minority sport.
Can be done by all ages 10 -100,
Ok some may say it is not the Olympic ethos, but I have never read a history book where the ancient Greeks were playing Beach Volleyball.
They would be too busy chatting the birds up to try to shag them.
Water Polo.
How many people do you know who play water polo? But it is in the Olympics as a test event.
Sailing that's there, and they are talking about Darts one day.
Rowing. People in boats rowing. Don't they realize how cheap second hand outboard are now?
So why not fishing??
Popular sport, taken up by millions world wide.
Whats the problem.
No doubt someone will let me know.
And they could do it in the para Olympics as well!
