Sadly we seem to be getting very close to the end of the beach season. This continuing cold weather has dropped the water temperature to only 8.2 at Bramble this morning I see. I was hoping for a couple more sessions before closing down for winter but unless we get some warm soon there will not be much point I fear:- In my experience of the last few years, it seems that once the water temp drops to 7 or less the fish just stop bothering to come in shore - unless you know better that is.

You won't want to hear my input Here the fish move offshore in the summer, to avoid the warm inshore waters; retruning only in the winter. Crazy world

Im not surprised sunny i expect the fish would cook during the summer!!!! On another note you got the boat in the water yet then, looking foward to hearing them catch reports Boat has cleared customs and is being stored at the shipping agents warehouse. Next problem is to get a towbar fitted....which would seem to be such a simple thing....but not here. They don't fit towbars to cars in the UAE and practically fell about laughing when I asked them. "But its not a 4x4" came the reply, as they smiled and held back the laughter. So I then persauded the missus to let me put a towbar on here Mitsubushi Outlander - a 4x4 - but oh no, its a small 4x4 and they only have towbars for proper 4x4s with V6 engines...naturally ! So I am now having to have a towbar made for the 4x4, which will take a week or so; from a workshop 60 miles away. There is one in Dubai that makes them, but they have a waiting list of over a month

Christ all that for a towbar But i expect it will be well worth it, you'll be pulling in lunker after lunker Drove there yesterday after work. They looked at the car, questioned my sanity for wishing to use an Outlander to tow and then said that they will now need it for 4 hours to do the measuring !!! The Middle East has a way of doing things that are not familiar to us in Europe ;D So my next step will be to visit them on Saturday....we shall see !
