It's usually this time of year that one of us asks - "What's your aim/target/ambition of the year? Nick, Drew - are you going to try for anything other than turd slurpers or shirleys??! My main one is simple - to crush Snoops like the dog that he is ;D The other - I REALLY want a big smutt this year, my biggest shore caught is still only 5.5lb, a couple of our summer/autumn excursions this year will HAVE to be in places with these as the target. Over to you guys, would be good to re-visit this post in December to see how we fared

And good luck to everyone else and their respective targets

Admittedly I will be targetting the mullet here....lost a big one last weekend after over half an hour of playing it; huge fish. But my targets for 2013 are: - 20lb+ milk fish
- big stingray of any species above 30lb
- King fish over 5lb
- Persian Catfish of any size
If I happen to get any mullet along the way then it will be a bonus

Hi chaps, My aim is to take my son out fishing more often, fire him up with the love of the sport. Side goal is to beat my lure caught bass PB of 6lb 5oz. May even get round to taking Clive out for a spin eventually!

I had one break me off last week after playing it for over half an hour !!!! But the milkies are the fish to catch. My best so far was around 8-10lb and took over an hour to land ....flippin awesome creatures. I am still to get a really big one and they can go to over 30lb .....woooow !!! I nearly got spooled at 300m of line, so have now gone up to over 400m on my reels....but I really need about 500m or more to take on the big milkies. As much as I love my mullet they cannot shine a light on milkies; but it won't stop me from continuing to fish for them. Out early tomorrow morning, after tuna and king fish
