Just renovated my snipe trailer. Had already replaced tyres/wheels and towing hitch. Rollers were poor and bearings were going ; leaf spring wasn't good. I got a made to order aluminium cross beam , rollers ; supports and indi units and hubs from ebay (e-trailers) £250 delivered to skye but still cheaper than a new trailer. We are careful with our money in Scotland. I must take a photo when it's not got the boat in the way. Attachments:

Looks very sound....I'm with you on the value-for-money front.
I modified my own trailer to add an extra set of rollers - to match the keel band/keep the dinghy central - much much cheaper than a bespoke made commercial one.

Boat off the trailer for a better picture. boat weights 150kg - trailer is heavier than that but now rated at 550kg.

Trailer and boat renovated. Gone one step up with a new 6hp 4 stroke Suzuki. Just the job for Neist Point where the big boys go. Had to row back in the bay last trip as the old 4hp mercury wouldn't start and none of my seagulls are big enough for the strong current in Moonen Bay

Looks perfect mate....I've been there several times with my old mariner packing up on me. But at least the boat is of a size that can be rowed. At least you have an option to get back in.
I do silly distances in my dinghy; out 4 miles or more offshore. But I know I can row that distance, so its not entirely stupid and I always take an EPIRB and hand-held VHF.
But I didn't get my own way yesterday. I wanted to go out 5-7 miles to the parked oil tankers, to fish for Dorado, but the Coastguard (who are marine police here) would not let me. There is no inshore fishing permitted and I was too small to be allowed offshore....so we had a lengthy negotiation on where I could go in between these two restrictions...it was funny.
