hi guys my sons invested a fair amount of cash in a 65 ft sand eel net that can be used from the shore id wondered if info on where and what sort tides to try netting them we have tryed sandown near the pier last night but with no luck now im not sure if the tide has any part in it as we tryed over low tide but was a big spring so any help and in for would be greatly recived many thanks in advance

Hi there,
Have you tried Compton? You should be able to wade a looong way. Definitely used to get them there "back in the day".

That's Brook mate. From about 1/2 way along the beach to the right, it's clean sand and shallow as you like.
