Gambia Catch report this week
Got the returns for this week . Weather was reasonably calm and the rains have not really started in earnest. Fishing aboard Jemaflow 8mt sportfisher - with Max and Ze .
Day one . Jolla Wreck and Bluewater 3 large Barracuda { 40 Plus } , 2 Dorados and 2 Sailfish { Biggest 65kgs } .
Day 2 Wreck two 8 pompanos { 3 over 15kgs } 10 Big Sunpats , 1 Snapper on baits , 3 Good barracuds Trolling .
Day 3 Bluewater 5 Dorados { Biggest 47lb }
Day 4 Wreck Three 10 Pompano , 1 Big Cassava , 3 Decent Snapper and a lot of smash ups , 3 Barracudas trolling
Day 5 Bluewater 4 Dorados 1 Sailfish .
Returns are pretty solid , most of the bottom fishing is with shrimp or live yahbouys , trolling with either storms or slow trolled live yahbouys .
The big balls of yahbouys havent really arrived yet , however we have been catching , Bonga which do work for cut baits , but arent such a resilient livey.
Should have photos when the guys get back . Hopefully should be able to do regular reports now that Max has got a pen and can write things down.
