morning all, i'm andy from yeovil and love all my fishing (admittedly mostly carp and pike), and like to dabble on the beach a few times of the year. my main beach would be chesil and i enjoy bait fishing for varied species. i dont overly enjoy fluff chucking for mackeral but will do once in a blue moon. i've joined the forum in order to learn more about sea fishing and hopefully increase my catch rate lol! i use diawa seahunter-x rods which i like (although admittedly my experience is little). anyways, enough of my rambling!

You will not find a better beach anywhere on the mainland. Fished on family holidays too many years ago. Good all year round. Welcome to the forum. Don't decry light rock fishing - the lighter the better. My Shimano Agility Bass rod has caught more than any other rod.

Welcome to the forum mate.
Chesil is a great venue. Lots of the guys travel there each year, so hopefully you can get some advice on specific issues.
Hope you have a good season on the beach and with your other angling activities
Tight lines Nick
