A large fish application in Loch Pooltiel is going through planning. See save loch pooltiel on facebook. This would destroy the reef just 200 metres downtide of the nearest 90m cages. Anyones help would be appreciated. I launch at the ramp in the bottom picture -- but not on that day.

Beautiful place mate. That reef will be 10,000 years old and it can be destroyed in the blink of an eye; shocking how little we care for our marine heritage
Wish you luck with the campaign; a noble cause

Comments on the fishfarm have now closed. Of 245 unique comments , 180 were against , 65 for. 50 of those came on the last two days - very short comments and the feeling was that they were "put ups" by friends of the fishfarm applicants. The possible manager of the fishfarm even had some of his many children (He has bred better than most of his fish) and his drinking buddies write in favour. We will see what happens. Thanks to those who did write in.
It is notable that there are no fish farms on the east coast of Scotland where the finest Salmon rivers are found. I wonder why ?

Hi mate, I'm pleased that public opinion is firmly against.
I went in to the comments area and it wanted post code etc. I did think that a Dubai resident complaining about a fish farm application in Scotland would be seen as unwelcome; it could even distract from your cause ?
I'm happy to put one in now, discuss the fact that it took thousands of years for the reef to be constructed....but my guess is that they already know that from the marine ecologists.
Keep up the good work Nick
