Nothing to do with the boats built at Bucklers Hard. There was enough boats built on the island in those days Including ones built at Fishbourne for Nelsons fleet. And when I was kid it was pronounced Corkheads Which meant that the islanders would stay afloat while all the other buggers sank. Especially those from Southampton

Na, it has always been Caulkheads,although, it has been changed to corkheads.
Check it out on Wicapedia, although you are right that there was a lot of boat building on the IOW
Dont you remember the Caulkhead National Band? The finest band the Island ever produced!!

Naturally, when I take over the Island I will consider everyone's point of view.
I will take in their opinions, their grievances, their views, and their input
Then I will have them taken outside and shot.
Well that is what dictators do isn't it?
And we will have free elections, that I will win with 99 percent of the votes.

Ferry prices will be drastically reduced and the ferries will even run after 9 30 pm, unlike they do now.
However you will need a visa to visit and have to go through customs ( such as Wally boot hurling).
We have been watching Border Control on the TV , so we know how it works in Australia, so that's good enough for us.
Keeps the Riff Raff out!
