Just joined and waiting for my new boat to be put in the water in a week (hopefully). Mooring at Littlehampton so appreciate any advice on tracking down the winter cod (baits, etc). Expect range will be out to Newhaven one way and Needles the other. Always up for a bit of competition for fun if anyone goes out in convoy. Cheers, Mark

Welcome to the forum...hope you have a good winter season
Needles produces some big cod in November and December...well worth the trip. Traditinal bait...squid, but cuttle will give variety
I used to go for big baits, 3-4 squid, but in recent years I have dropped down to a single squid and caught as many cod. Trick is to keep the scent trail going
