As you readers will know Mrs OldFart was taken ill back on August. She went down to six stone, before I managed to get her to the doctors, who sent her straight to hospital.
After several tests they took us in a little room and told us that she had advanced pancreatic cancer and had three months.
Mrs OldFart, discharged herself and declined treatment but went on the herbal remedies instead.
However, after a few weeks she started to put on weight, and after the three months was up, I started to nag her to go back to the doctors.
Typical woman wouldn't go because she didn't want bad news.
Eventually I dragged her in and she saw a different specialist , more tests etc.
Last week we found out that Mrs OldFart had been miss diagnosed and does not have pancreatic cancer. She is ill but will be round for a long time yet if she is lucky and looks after herself.
So the OldFart family are going to have a wonderful Xmas ( I have to buy her a bloody present now, and she's got a long list of things to do around the house for next year!)
So I hope you all have a wonderful Xmas and live life to the full while you can.
Take nothing for granted, as it may well not be there tomorrow.
And from the both of us, we would like to thank everyone who gave us support in our darkest hours, and wish you all a healthy and happy new year.

The thing is, that although we looked down the barrel of the loaded gun as we thought someone had pulled the trigger a lot of good has come from it, which I would like to pass on.
When we first got the news, the first thing Mrs OldFart said was let's have a party.
Most people couldn't understand that, but as she said "I can't party when I am dead"
So we did and got loads of friends together that we hadn't seen for years.
It didn't cost much and it was really good, so why didn't we do it before?
reason, because we always thought we could do it another time.
We got her brother to come down from 'up North' who she hasn't seen for 18 years, same thing, always another time and where did those years go ?
Now he has been down a couple of times and is spending Xmas with us this year.
My friend took his long time wife away for a surprise holiday, because of our situation, like he said "I was always going to but....' So he did and they had a fantastic time.
Life is so short, but we don't realise it.
Unfortunately..the morning day breaker is on hold at the moment.
Yesterday...
As Mrs OldFart is a lot better she decided to take her dog out, who is half Irish Wolfhound ,half Labrador, and a total idiot.
Anyhow , as the mutt was sooo excited to be out with ' mummy' again he was running around the field like a lunatic and ran straight into Mrs OldFart , twisted her knee backwards and she ended up on A&E . She is now on crutches ,and I am sleeping in the spare room so I don't knock the bad leg in the night.
You couldn't make it up. What a year!
Still you have to be alive to be run over by your dog!!
Take care and live to the max.
I know we will from now on. ( crutches permitting)

OH!!
And one more thing.
If you think your other half is a bit crook, MAKE HER GO TO THE DOCTORS.
Women are the worst for not going, but they nag us if we don't .
