Guys, yesterday, whilst scaling a small (baby) cliff, in search of handaxes, I fell (rotten tree root gave way) and fractured my right radial bone, above the wrist. .... Bring on the performing clowns ! A nice clean break that thankfuly didn't come through the skin....yuck I have to say that it beats a broken elbow, but not by much So no fishing attempts for me in the next 6 weeks. Thus my normal lengthy posts may get cut short (hooray I hear you say). it is all part of life's rich tapestry.... but hopefully only to be experienced once !!!!

Just a quick tip, but.....B&Q do a nice range of hand axes!!! Much safer and dryer.
You will have to resort to the old 'one finger' typing.
I know a broken wrist is a bloody nuisance, but even a small fall can result in far worse, so put this one down to experience and carry on to fish another day.
Failing that, just buy one of those electric reels that Robson Green uses. Then you only have to push the button.
Wishing you a speedy recovery

Every sympathy mate but at least 6 weeks will let you in on the start of the new season and you could always make a few rigs to sell. Actually, I have been thinking of doing the same myself on ebay because there seem to be a number of people around who would rather buy a rig than make their own, what do you think?

Unlucky Nick - hurts a tad doesn't it Clive I was there for your break and I know what you mean Took this picture with my phone. Couldn't get the best view, which would have been the bone poking against the skin underneath; but too painful to lift :0)
