Breaking my Yak cherry.....

Ayup guys and gals,
I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my latest purchase, a Feelfree Moken 12 angling Yak. It's second hand and comes with most of what i'll need bar an anchor and the clobber.

A couple of questions though please...

What size/weight/type of anchor and rope/chain should i get?

Clothing/boots/life vest - what would anyone recommend? I'm hoping to get out soon so need warmth as well as waterproof plus I don't want to spend oodles!!

I'm only intending to fish the coastlines spinning and deadbaiting for bass, harbour fishing for flatties and Sandown bay mackerelling etc in Summer but does anyone have any extra tips, pointers, travel light/heavy, space saving hints etc??

You will need a 1kg bruce,I use about 1M of chain and 200M of 2mm warp.

I keep it on a reel like this one by my left foot



Most guys use a drysuit.I only use a wetsuit for a couple of weeks in Summer.Wetsuit outlet are usually very reasonably priced:

Plenty of boots there but make sure you order at least 1 size bigger to go over your drysuit and socks

Big thanks to you Richi, just getting the roof bars seem hard/expensive enough, Halfords quoted me £350 for the feet, bars and Yak holder type jobby!!
Got a friend looking on ebay at the mo to get something cheaper/just as suitable - just want to get out there though!!
