Clive, think you will find the oldF told you of this recently in one of his posts, seems no one picked up on it. How did you get on down the back?

I can't see what the big deal about a 24lb Bass is anyway.
I myself have caught many over that size some in the thirty pound bracket, and it's easy.
you need a really filthy night, blowing a Hooligan, lashing down and freezing cold.
Then get nicely tucked up in the 'Lee of Bum Island', and start fishing.
I normally get two or three before the alarm clock goes off, ( or a trip to the loo)
Oh well we can but dream, but, maybe, just maybe............one day.

Its easy...you go to Southampton there are plenty there each spring.
Directions: you just go online, book tickets on a flight to New York. Drive north along route 107 to the town of Southampton and get on a charter boat...deploy fishing tackle and catch striped Bass ....simples ! :0)

The few bass remaining of that size, if they have any sense, will have emigrated to the east coast of America. Much safer there.
