Overfishing is the best solution to increase fish stocks

As you knowI am always moaning about overfishing, and I am waiting for some government lacky to come forward with this argument.
Millions of tons of fish such as Mackerel,Herring,Cod etc, must eat tens of millions of tons of smaller fish.
Now that our fishing policy is eradicated these predatory fish from the seas, then it stands to reason that all the fish they would have eaten, can now safely grow to their full potential and therefore replace the fish stocks.
Therefore, by what some un enlightened people would call 'Overfishing' ,is actually a well thought out strategy, to ensure long term sustainable fishing by protecting the small immature fish.
Well that's me convinced, it sounds logical, feasible, and total bullshit, much the same as they have been saying for years.
I shall look forward to the next EU press release regarding fishing
