For some reason this morning i figured it would be a great idea to get up at 0430 grab my yak and gear and paddle out into Sandown bay, totally disregarding the fact it was 0 degrees celcius! But it was an amazing sunrise!! Every drop I was getting hit by pin whiting, my supersized sandeels and mackerel were getting eaten quicker than a meat pie within arms reach of Uncle Snoops!! To make things last longer every bait was either squid or wrapped in it! But it did the trick Twice This second ray, a female, was particularly vicious, kept whipping her tail, hissing, trying to bite me and, when i did put her back she glided in the tide next to the yak, gave me a few evils, swam around the front of the yak to the other side to give a few more nasty looks before swimming back down!! The wind picked up and went against the tide making further dangling uncomfortable so i packed up and carefully paddled in. Just not carefully enough. As i hit the beach and stepped out a wave caught the yak, spun it behind me and another wave smashed it up against my legs knocking me ass over tit..... I looked up from my mishap to see a family on the wall above me looking down trying not to laugh....

Ahem Here with photographic evidence Uncle Snoops is not the Pie Eater of the Family Good Blog nips - shame the Female one didn't worry your knackerbag briefly before going back over the side .........as for trying not to laugh at the landing catastrophe - I would have been rolling about on the floor

Good fishing mate,I love that time in the morning.Best thing to do when you fall in is to laugh at yourself,I always do.I also laugh at my mates when they do The real ball breaker was that i had to be SO careful paddling in for well over a mile, tide was pushing me one way, wind the other, i kept getting hit side on with bigger waves, so could only really safely paddle in between troughs before "bracing myself" hit the beach and thought "Yeah, cracked it!!"- SPLOSH!! I did laugh and wave up to the family above, with the whole hand, not one or two fingers!!

Me and a mate were coming ashore in a place called Duckpool north of Bude one summer after targetting Porbeagles and a group of young lads asked us what we had caught,I shouted over "Pollacks" and said to my mate,I hope they didn't mis-hear me
