Yeah
F*****g shame that doesn't apply to the "Comms" as well ...... oh,apparently we(Leisure Anglers) are responsible for taking 25% of all Bass per annum and are now being limited to a 3 limit bag - ergo the comms should be limited to taking 12 per trip if my Maths are correct?

No Snoops, if we take 25%, then the remaining 75% will be 9 fish. Sadly, the comms will only be landing that number when the Bass have been fished out.

Suits me but then I am not greedy like so many others are - I once saw a bloke take over 40 mackerel in an afternoon and found out afterwards that he chucked half of them away.....Admittedly I have often taken more than three in a session but put back what I don't really need, especially if they are over 5lbs.

Must be rare to catch 3 from the shore these days - I never have. Did get two once, both of which I returned on that occasion. It will have more effect on the boats.
On the commercial side, I received an email from the EU fisheries people - see the other thread about that - which said they were introducing the trawling ban at spawning time, as lobbied for by the UK fisheries minister. So some progress.
