The BBC has picked up on the bass issue and will be doing a 12 min (2 x 6min) piece on bass and the issues on Countryfile, for broadcast on Sunday 24th January.
Nigel Horsman is an angler who is an official of B.A.S.S. & sits on the Southern IFCA general committee & is also a member of their Bass working group spent a day filming with Countryfile to try and give the anglers perspective.
Countryfile have also interviewed the EU Commissioner and the South West Fish Producers Organisation and I think are also going to interview the Marine Conservation Society and the NFFO.

Thanks for the “heads up” Scorpion – I shall watch with interest, but with little expectation of any resolution.
It’s quite clear that the recreational angler in the UK has been rail-roaded over the matter, despite the best intentions of the organisations representing us.
“Have a voice” is not going to happen until we get out of Europe – until then, we are being sold out – pure and simple.
Forgive the “jaded view” – but it’s come over time – there’s only so many times you can bend over and take it, after which, the novelty wears off ………
