well tonight's the night I keep my promise to TOF and fish alone on the islands most haunted beach.

Dead ( no pun intended) quiet, virtually no moon, small torch ,no hooch for Dutch Courage.

I have my thermos, sandwiches, and selection of baits including his jar of vintage 1950 salted squid.

Load of old bollocks, but I said I will do it so off I go.

who knows I may catch a fish as I can't come home until the clock strikes ONE!

Hope it gets foggy to add to the ambiance.

Had to go back with my son this morning to get most of my gear.

The rod had gone , but recon the surf took it.

Will tell the tale when I have settled down, but there is a warning to not do the stupid thing I did down there and at my age should have known better than to do it.

TOF knew, he bloody well knew.
