Wow ! "Have a nice day at the office dear ?" "Oh, you know - pretty routine really. Went 900 feet under the ice cap, then had a sub-marine battle with James Bond after lunch. What's for tea dear ?" ;D

Cant ever say I've met a proffesional diver before. pete you probably wont meet a pro diver as most are self employed.my step brother is always flying round the world diving he works for p&o stenna offshore £1000 a day, plus retainer when he's not diving. he does satturation and bounce diving where you need to spend weeks in a decompression chamber,he is only in his 30's but has gout, foot rot,ear infections etc, when you see him he looks like a 60 year old .

When I worked on the dredgers as a kid we had to have divers out to cut wire from propshafts on a few occasions, bl**dy expensive.

I served in the Royal Navy from May 1953 till June1962 which 7 years was spent as a naval diver. I have dived in most gear from deep sea to frogmans gearand belive me it is for young men.
